Vlasta Delimar at BORDERS & Lili’s Unruly Spring — Ghent, 2026

Renowned artist Vlasta Delimar is featured in the group exhibition BORDERS, on view from 26 March 2026 to 11 April 2027, organized by Ghent University in collaboration with the Ghent University Museum & Botanical Garden (GUM & Botanical Garden, Ghent, Belgium).

BORDERS brings together artists and scientists to explore what borders are, what they mean, and how they are constantly shifting. The exhibition invites visitors to question and rethink boundaries—political, social, and personal—through a rich constellation of artistic and scientific perspectives. Works by Vlasta Delimar are presented alongside an inspiring international lineup including Francis Alÿs, Berlinde De Bruyckere, and Panamarenko, among many others.

In addition to her presence in the exhibition, Vlasta Delimar will also participate in the accompanying event Lili’s Unruly Spring: Ageing Women’s Intimacy and Resistance, taking place from 15–17 April 2026 at Kunsthal Gent, located at Lange Steenstraat 14, 9000 Ghent, Belgium.

This three-day spring laboratory explores themes of ageing, intimacy, sexuality, and resistance in mid and later life. Bringing together artists, researchers, and participants, the event creates space to challenge dominant narratives and imagine new forms of connection, desire, and agency. Through talks, discussions, and shared inquiry, it invites audiences to engage critically and collectively with the complexities of lived experience.

Together, the exhibition and event highlight Delimar’s ongoing engagement with the body, identity, and social boundaries – positioning her work within a broader dialogue that embraces uncertainty, reflection, and transformation.
