CAPTURE PERFORMANCE FOCUS & DOPUST VIENNA

Performative practice has always been closely interwoven with experimentation and research into new forms. Without a doubt, working conditions have changed significantly in recent years as a result of social, political and, above all, technological developments. The process of artistic work itself is increasingly coming to new forms of collaboration, exchange and documentation. Furthermore, the conditions of performances as a product have been renegotiated and critically questioned.

DOPUST VIENNA / DAYS OF OPEN PERFORMANCE
Michaela Stock established 2015 together with Marko Markovic DOPUST / DAYS OF OPEN PERFORMANCE VIENNA, an International festival of performance art. Dopust was held in Vienna 2015 - 2018 in cooperation with galerie michaela stock and DOPUST Split. DOPUST was founded in 2008 in Split (HR), since then its network and collaboration with other organizations and artist has spread out on wide international level. DOPUST is therefore intended to provide a platform for new ways of critical thinking, for research and analysis and innovative models that promote cultural exchange and network in fields of performance theory and practice.

CAPTURE PERFORMANCE FOCUS (CPF)
Since 2019 CPF is held in galerie michaela stock and arround the town. CAPTURE PERFORMANCE FOCUS focuses not only on live performances from just one country, but also on interdisciplinary lectures and workshops as well as their documentation and archiving via various media. In this way, performance art opened up to a field of exploration of creative work processes with a focus on a different country each year in the exchange of collaborations and experimental practices, as well as in the development of discourses and fields of research.
The first edition of CPF introduces the art scene from Ireland. The CPF consists of several parts: performance, exhibition, lectures, artist talks, and workshops. The aim of the performative exhibition series is to show developments and changes in performance art and to compare them with Austrian and other European tendencies.
