Michaela Stock founded the gallery in 2009. The location was Schleifmühlgasse 18, 1040 Vienna.  The gallery has a strong focus on performance art, video and photography. The gallery supports Central and Eastern European art, especially contemporary Croatian artists.

In 2015-19, Michaela Stock organized an annual performance event (DOPUST & CAPTURE PERFORMANCE FOKUS) through the Association Verein zur Förderung der Kunst- Schleife 18.

During the COVID-19 crisis, Michaela Stock introduced SALON REAL / VIRTUAL, a new gallery concept: real vs. virtual. The focus is on a new perception of the exhibition space and the exhibited artworks. The aim is to dock the real world more strongly and actively at the interface with the virtual world. The gallery owner Michaela Stock contrasts the classic white cube with the concept of the gallery as a discussion forum for a virtually staged exhibition and at the same time questions it. 

In 2022, the gallery location was moved to Praterstrasse 17, 1020 Vienna. Since mid-2024, we no longer have a gallery space and are focusing on projects with our artists.
