Giovanni Morbin

Giovanni Morbin was born in Valdagno (VI) on 09/08 / '56, he lives and works in Cornedo Vicentino (VI), Italy. In 1982 he graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice after following the course of painting in the workshop of Emilio Vedova.
He's currently teaching Performing Techniques for Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Verona.
Since 1978, his research is related to behaviors and performance, hes ideal medium to express ideas.
Parallel to the behavioral work, he is interested in the construction of functional objects to the everyday action and gives them the value of tools (Strumento a Perdifiato, Scultura Sociale, DNA, l'Angolo del saluto, Prêt-a-porter, Fioriera, ecc.).
In November 1995 he founded SUPERFICIE TOTALE, a container of his action. From that moment his performances are called hybridizactions. This is hybrid actions characterized from time to time by animal partners, vegetable, mineral, artificial.
The work of Giovanni Morbin is present in numerous private and public collections in Italy and abroad.
