Talk: Saturday 10th of December 2 p.m.

Marko Marković is happy to announce the upcoming book presentation and exhibition "The Anthropocene Cookbook" at TEKS Trondheim Electronic Arts Center (Norway) with the selection of body-art performance Selfeater.

The exhibition showcases selected material and artwork from The Anthropocene Cookbook: Recipes and Opportunities for Future Catastrophes, written by Zane Cerpina and Stahl Stenslie and published at MIT Press (2022). The exhibition featured artworks by The Center for Genomic Gastronomy, Gints Gabrans, Paul Gong, Marko Marković, and Helmut Smits.

The book takes our planetary state of emergency as an opportunity to seize the moment to imagine constructive change and new ideas. How can we survive in an age of constant environmental crises? How can we thrive? The Anthropocene Cookbook answers these questions by presenting more than 60 investigative art and design projects that explore how art, food, and liminal thinking can prepare us for future catastrophes.
